From the videos I've watched of him, I'm impressed by Aaron's thinking and communication style. I look forward to more content by him in the future.

About the question, how do you know which authorities are reliable? My thought is that you need to know their values. Do they value reason? Or do they value some object of faith? For example, l am following the work of an Oxford biophysicist because he has a plausible theory about free will. I find nothing objectionable in any of his talks. So, I have confidence in his work.
