September 17, 2014 my wife and I were driving through Kahului Maui, HI and saw a sign, 'Leon Russell tonight ' . We drove to the Maui Arts Center and walked in minutes before his concert. Great vacation memory.

I'm from Oklahoma City. I was lucky enough to see Leon several times in the 70s. I especially remember the concert at the Tulsa fairgrounds (Sandy Booth Armstead)

I love this song! Leon autographed my shirt while I was wearing it. Then he autographed the same shirt two other times. One of those times I had to take the shirt off on the street, but it was worth it. I love Leon!!!

A friend of mine called me up one evening, saying she had a spare comp to see Leon play at her local bar in Lake Chuckles. So I drove 150 miles there. I missed the first couple minutes of the first set. She'd called me at like half-past seven, for a nine-o-clock start.

Knowing BARS (This was not a nightclub. not a performance venue), I met him and his band backstage (back alleyway, next to the dumpster) and smoked a couple cigarettes some of which might not have been legal.

And after the gig I drove home. Best gas money I've ever spent.
