I'm of Korean and Irish descent. I grew up with my dad, extremely poor, and sometimes homeless and hungry. My dad worked all the time and often was at work while I chose the wrong crowd to hang out with. By the time I was an adult, MY choices led me into addiction (opiates) and eventually to prison.

After I got out of prison, I was broke, homeless, and with no one to turn to. I knew that I could either blame others and feel sorry for myself OR I can take responsibility and do something to fix MY problems. It took more effort and time because of my past choices, but I recovered and overcame my personal hurdles in life.

Today I'm married, 3 beautiful daughters, a nice home, career, and part of my community. It wasn't the "white privilege" from my dad's side, nor the Asian prosperity from my mom's side. It was a dream, plan, and dedication that pulled me out of my own problems.

How dare that guy insinuate that my success and failures can be limited to my skin color. Charlie is a voice of reason in a ocean of fools. He has every right to speak and his "whiteness" is only something that the petulant children use to argue his reasoning. His success, my success, and everyone else's success will come down to the willpower we each have.

We all need a focus in life and a way to give back to those around us. We are all responsible for our own lives. I'll not blame others for my actions, good or bad, and knowing that makes all the difference.

Excuses are like buttholes, we all have them and they stink. Don't be a stinky butthole.

I was a science and math teacher for over 20 years. I was a biochemist prior to this working in clinical trials in Big pharma. I was fired when I refused the jab claiming they didn't have enough data for me to feel safe. It's total BS to claim much about our education system that's completely broken and turned into a department of indoctrination. Conservative teachers like myself have been purged. We were constantly sent to diversity classes. The counselors told me that I was not allowed to talk about physiological differences in the brain between men and women because that was biased. Our education system needs to be majorly reworked. I graduated high school in Germany and I was required to past calculus and take philosophy for critical thinking. The education system is doing its best to remove any vestige of this critical thinking from the curriculum. The system is run by a company called EAS, education assessment systems, that lobbies to require more and more tests that are expensive and redirect the curriculum towards those tests. It is insidious and it directs what we teach in our schools. In my opinion, we've dumbed down our education to the point where you're now just getting participation awards rather than a real high school diploma. I now teach privately for parents that are homeschooling and they are very appreciative of instilling critical thinking skills in their children. They understand the value of it and encourage it. In the writings of Plato it is said that the only function of a bureaucracy is to grow as that is the only visible outcome over time. The extension of this is that government left unchecked will inevitably go down the path of tyranny, growing like a cancer on the society.

As an first generation Asian America 7 out of 9 of my siblings and I graduated from college, we have 1 doctor and 3 of us making 6 figures and more who grew up in a town with 80-90% white. We are a living example of how America's opportunities, stop race baiting. Charlie you are truly an awesome person.
