It seems that classical music enthusiasts love Martín García's performance. I think it's because he brings something special to this beautiful concerto that no one else can.

I was lucky enough to be there and feel all the intensity of the concert and I can tell you what the people felt in the auditorium was something different, the critics said IT was like Chopin was in love. Rarely felt that in a concert before. Pure joy of life!
Really Martin I am looking forward to hearing you again soon. I hope and expect your exhibition of talent motivate other pianists in Spain to develop a professional career as musicians.
¡¡GRACIAS MARTIN!!

Best concerto performance of the Chopin competition and with Concerto No. 2, a rare accomplishment.

Surprisingly he doesn't seem to be nervous at all. He really enjoyed playing the concert and that feeling of enjoyment was transmitted to us. I do not get tired of listening to it.

Mr. Martin Garcia Garcia is a real artist. This performance is full of passion and musicality. He didn't say a single word, but you can see how much he loves music.

This young Spanish maestro draws you into his musical universe to experience these beautiful sounds for the very first time. It seems that Chopin wrote the 3rd movement with a deliberate Hispanic feel (with col legno violins imitating castanets) brought to life here with fiery authenticity by the one and only MGG. I don’t care who wins. Like other reality talent shows, many fine musicians have already been kicked to the curb.

Magic!!
And what a choice of a piano! The Fazioli sounds as if built especially for this music.

Mr. Garcia Garcia is a completely different category of musician, as ironic as this sounds music was flowing from his magical fingers through and through. The second movement was breathtakingly sublime. The different colours he brings out, the dynamics and most importantly the innate musicality of his playing is what makes this young gentleman a distinct artist, and a much needed fresh interpreter of Chopin.

Unlike some contestants, he did not linger for effect, but kept the whole thing moving.
