■ About Martín García García
The spotlight on the new career of the Madridlenian pianist Martín García García lighted up after his victory at the 2021 Cleveland International Piano Competition. To have him catapulted to the attention of critics, though, are the prizes won a few weeks later at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw - the third prize and the special prize for the best performance of the concert with orchestra. Born in 1996, Martín began his musical studies at the age of 5 with Natalia Mazoun and Ilyà Goldfarb. He later studied with Galina Eguizarova at Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofía in Madrid and Jerome Rose at the Mannes School of Music in New York. In addition to the awards won in Spain (Barcelona, Madrid and San Sebastian) are to be mentioned the third prize at the Moscow Piano Open in 2019 and the First Prize at the 2018 International Keyboard Institute & Festival, held in New York. The latter allowed him to establish himself in the USA. After the success earned in Warsaw, he has planned several tours in Japan, Europe, and the USA.
