First, those San Jose residents agreed to allow homeless housing in their neighborhood. Up to 78 peaceful people, not drug addicts, no problem. Now Santa Clara County wants to put ex-violent drug addicts, mentally disabled, and recovering alcoholics that were former inmates, into those tiny homes. Why? Did San Jose fix their homeless problem? As far as I know, no they didn't. SJ residents never agreed to allow crazy people inside their neighborhood. So they shouldn't allow that housing change. Santa Clara should build their own housing elsewhere.

Tiny homes were a gigantic waste of tax dollars. Crowded housing as the city approved despite protest from the public is far moe efficient. All the super expensive free stuf is a huge burdeon to the taxpayers who are moving out! Nkne of it is free. The elected officials need to stop spending, giving everything away to no one that earned it, and reverse businesses tax deductions for sending work to other countries.

why dont santa clara just make a conversion out of one of the many empty buildings in san jose, there is a sony building that hasn't had sony in it for over 10 years... wtf... what a waste. if you want to get voted OFF the city council and NOT be the mayor, do this, but if you want to keep your Jobs. then come up with a better solution.

While I do not intend to offend those who are homeless or disabled are receiving government assistance,
I believe that those with low incomes and full-time working families should be given priority in this tiny home project.
These are the folks who put in a lot of effort but are unable to possess a home.
For the individuals who are currently receiving assistance, they ought to be placed outside of the city.

Why buy that site? There are nimbys everywhere they should just build tiny home communities in rural areas and suburbs.

Typical democracy tactics right, so tired of the cities saying one thing and then doing another vote these people out of office immediately
