Learn how to make your animations WALK with Adobe Character Animator!
Go beyond facial movements for your puppets in Adobe Character Animator CC (Beta) by creating walk cycles, looped frames that allow your character to walk without requiring you to animate each step. Make adjustments for leg length, avoid foot slippage when looping frames, and fine-tune the walk behavior for each puppet’s performance.

This looks like a claymation but less work on the frame by frame animation aspect. I thought this software would work only for 2D, but seeing this tutorial opens a lot of options! Thank you so much!

Great tutorial. I do a live stream with mine and I can't seem to get the background to stop moving with my character. Do you have a tutorial with adding a background to the scene? I've asked on the forums with no luck.

If you guys are pushing for character animator to be a thing you need to answer the questions that people have involving issues or confusion. Or else they will give up on the program. This thing has potential.

This Tutorial and behaviour on Character Animator was very helpful for an animation project in Uni.. I was wondering if you also have a tutorial explaining more about a frontal walk? Couldn't find it directly... Thanks

Hi everyone, after tagging and setting the walking behavior to my puppet, when I go to the scene to preview the motion I get the following error: failed to parse motion from file Error code: Adobe.walk.js:508 . It's been now three days since I am trying to figure out a solution but nothing worked. Any advise? What should I do to solve this problem? Thanks

Very fascinating. Great Video. I hope Adobe don't simply discontinue this again like they do with so many other of their programmes.

Is there a video that explains how the character switches from a side profile to a full frontal without any tearing? Everything else seemed straight forward enough.

It looks terrific with that stop motion look. Wonder how it would look like in a more smooth classic style 2d animation. I'll try it myself :). Thanks for sharing this.

Great job on the video, I have been given the task of making the video similar to this. And want ask few question about the procedure.first of all, I wanted to ask about lipsync. About how you achieve a proper lipsync on this 3D character. And in which software you did it. Secondly if you could give me some advice on how you split this character, and reassembled it in Photoshop. And one more thing, if you would know of how to put lipsync on the character, since I made them on Adobe fuse. Lastly I have downloaded the medifile, that you have suggested, and wandering which software you used to open puppet files.pls reply asap . SinceI am also on dead line. Thanks I reply appreciate this.

Interesting process. Quite an economical form of Stop-mo. Maddie certainly has a strong resemblance to Coraline, but prior to having blue hair. Such a big coincidence.

Could you be kind enough to make another tutorial for a full frontal, left, and right profile? I know it is much to ask but the process is frustrating for such beginners...
