The reason that nobody trumpeted their sexuality in NASCAR was because it wasn't about that, it was about the actual RACE, the cars, and the skills required. Most people don't care what the driver's sexuality is as long as he (or she?) demonstrates their driving skill to the fans. And don't care means we don't want to know, period.
