I just got 100 items deleted for allegedly commercial reselling.
Only been on there a week, sold one item accepting a low ball half my price offer.
I'm selling 30 years of excessive impulse buying, my own stuff.
Stuck at home with plaster cast after op so got to work listing
Paid 6.99 for wardrobe spotlight n uploaded each day. One hour after wardrobe spotlight expired, all my listings except 15 were removed as commercial selling not allowed.
Back n forth customer service was no help
If I upload these same items I will get banned. Tried explaining they are my clothes and I'm working with a support worker to declutter my house... Ignored. Just copy n pasted replies about commercial selling and rules... I broke NO rules.
Apparently uploading too many in one go is a red flag... Imagine taking 2 days off work to declutter n sell your sht n have this happen. Or you're downsizing n getting rid of a ton of old stuff.
Jokers. They said its not their business ethos... Their ad is literally don't wear it, sell it. I suggested they add unless you're a hoarder or have time on your hands to spend a few hours uploading.
Total scam. Imagine how much they make taking 7.00 off new accounts n then deleting items after a week.
Closed that Scammy app.
That's how they're catching resellers, uploading too much infantry in a short period of time, ❤

I had this happen to me too… I don’t understand their logic getting rid of the highly rated genuine sellers, when there’s so many fake accounts on there. Hopefully they introduce vinted pro here too

The reason they don't allow commercial sales is the legislation and infastructure to comply with the legal side would cost an absolute fortune and they can't afford to do it and probably don't have the customer base to make it viable.

Thing is with Vinted, it’s very amateur compared to EBay, the customer service is terrible and you have to pay for returns that are not as described-I use it to source a lot and only sell the odd things on there but there are loads of obvious resellers on there so don’t know why they singled you out.
We need a UK equivalent of Poshmark.

Make sure that you transfer your money in each transaction. Vinted is not transferring money for many Vinted Members and they block accounts while they owe money. If want to use them transfer you money immediately. I’m in a battle at the moment to try to get my 1200 euros and someone else I know is blocked out their account with over 2000 euros on it. Be Warned.

Today feel you, I used to make £300 a month and suddenly got permanently blocked it sucks was so annoyed about it. I never sold the same items and always took pictures in a way my items looked like it was used but still managed to block me urghh

Best to avoid vinted. It has policies that even customer services get wrong. I've had sellers cancel and lie to me about orders being sent without tracking and yet was unable to leave negative feedback for them. Vinted themselves don't leave automatic negative feedback either which therefore misleads the buyer into thinking seller is good

It doesn't make any sense to me, they're losing money. People are happy buying on there as well it baffles me

Stumbled upon your video as my items have been blocked by Vinted. Vinted falsely accused me that I'm using someone's images. Hell No! Those are my photos. I can't stand with them and I'm closing my account. Vinted are not worthy! There are a bunch of reseller apps there.

I’ve put my own clothes on Vinted and had no sales, I’ve put some resale items, books anything and I can’t say I’m impressed

What Vinted seems to misunderstand is that we aren't really a business, we bought items 2nd hand and decided to sell them. The thing about Vinted is that it allows us to make extra money and they make actual money out that. A guy like me is alone making some cash, I'm not a corporation with employees, they are !

Thing is, resellers will happily sell on Vinted, yet they’ll kick up a fuss if another reseller is selling on a personal eBay account and say it’s against trading standards and so on.

Surely this is the exact same thing?

Technically speaking, by selling on Vinted as a business you’re breaking multiple trading standards laws as there’s no correct returns procedure put in place, there’s only a single form of contact and nowhere on the page does it state your business info.

just happened to me. i was selling unused stuff instead of returning it since people say returns just go to landfill or burnt… guess to save my economy i’m returning things now.

I’ve been on vinted for two weeks and it’s not been a great experience. I personally will be sticking to eBay from now on. I also find the quality of products sold on vinted to be poor (lots of used primark clothes), lots of stained/really worn items. Then you have the ridiculous offers, and if you happens to have a bad experience with someone and have to leave a negative review you can bet your bottom dollar you’ll receive a petty negative review back.

It’s a peer-to-peer (c2c) selling platform not for b2c or b2b. Business Sellers have to conform to different consumer regulations and Vinted is not geared up for that, you know that George!
