as a neurodivergent person, i don’t agree with the eye contact one. if i’m just sitting there talking to someone and they keep looking at my in my eyes, i will 100% feel intimidated and scared and nervous is get fidgety and it will not be an amazing experience for both of us

I think it’s weird if they were to walk you home on the first date. Ask if there is a safe way home for me, wait on the Uber with me or call me when I get home but that’s the max on a first date. Unless you have known each other before as friends or sth.

Maybe its just me but you ain't walking me home
First date and you already know where I live.
I'd like to remain a mystery as we dont even know if we'll work out or not.

I don’t want some dude knowing where I live. No walking home and I’ll call an uber myself

completely agree except for the eye contact one, i get why ppl wouldn't appreciate that but you never know if it's a neurodivergence thing (but ofc if they aren't neurodivergent and are just bored with u then yeah red flag lol)

you are so gorgeous, with and without makeup. i’m sure you’ve heard that a lot, but you’re genuinely so beautiful. not just your looks; you give off this bright aura, and you seem so chill.

No Eye contact isn’t always a red flag, it can be, but personally I have very slight autism and one of my autistic traits is that I find it very hard to make eye contact even with family and friends who I’ve known for years and I’m very supported by and happy with it’s still quite hard so just remember that if someone does make eye contact it’s not always for the wrong reasons and they can’t always help it. 😊

you lost me at "no eye contact" and "seeming distracted" girl, some of us are neurodivergent, women included; these things have little to do with being a decent person

Me diagnosed with autism when I was 4 and still cant maintain eye contact. Me, also interrupting every 38secs because I'm loving the conversation.

Oh the friends one is SO true esp when you they get there completely unannounced. I went on a date with this guy my roommate is friends with and we met at this bar/restaurant on campus, nothing too crazy and he shows up with two dudes and I think okay well it's on campus so they'll probably just walk him to the bar and leave, or atleast get another table but no, they sat at our table and just started chatting amongst themselves before even acknowledging my existence. Introduced themselves about 30 minutes in, which went by with me awkwardly sitting there staring into my lemonade. Anyways, after that they all order food and I get up to use the bathroom. When I get back, they're all making jokes about how I have multiple "options" to choose from (aka them), and I'm definitely not going home alone tonight. I laugh awkwardly and just try to brush it off but they keep at it. They talk about how blondes are all of their type and how pretty girls get guys all the time. How they're sure I must be hoeing around (yes, that's a direct quote, said with a smile and laughs from the others) since I've got so many options. The aforementioned date hasn't said anything to stop this, mind you. So when we go to get our food, I ask him why he hadn't told me he was bringing friends. Now I'm a very anxious person and I didn't wanna come off as bitchy, so I said I could've brought my friends as well. Would've been fun. This is where he says oh they both got bitches, and when I ask him what that means he rolls his eyes and says, like I'm a dumb child, they have girlfriends Nove. Girlfriends. Do you get it? I still go back to the table (ik ik) and they're in the middle of making another sexual joke about how nice it'd be if they got a round with me. That's where I lost it. I told the guy to lose my number and go f himself. When I stepped out, I saw two girls go to the table, who I presume were their girlfriends. I don't know where men get the audacity honestly

I agree to all of those!! Tho eye contact could be something to look into. I have anxiety and have a hard time with eye contact. Checking into that may help
