Sven, you forgot to mention the most important thing.
This specific sell off was caused by the Yen carry trade bubble popping.
Some "geniuses" borrowed Yen to buy US "safe" stocks on margin.
Once Bank of Japan raised rates, traders were forced out of their position because they were margin called and they had losses to be covered for more than $12 billions.

I'm considering a review of my $600K portfolio allocations, particularly in light of the pause in interest rate hikes. I'm eyeing some high-risk, high-reward opportunities. Stock and emerging markets seem intriguing. Anyone else exploring these?

Sven, your perspective always gives me the broader picture. Can't wait to watch your videos when there are true bargains all over the markets and not just low interest rates and QE driven market

Haha, not an idiot, Sven 😊
Thanks for the video! Very good to hear your calm thoughts when everyone is talking technical predictions with high conviction.
The only thing I'm taking from the last few days is that there are a lot of people in the current market that are pretending to be excited about the potential but, under the surface, they know we're in a bubble.

40% of my portfolio is cash waiting for the bubble to burst or some of the stocks in it, 50% value stocks, 10% in Tesla. I know the last one is risky, but i have a high risk tolerance. Thank you for you video

Yeah yeah I know. I hear about the bubble bursting every year now.

Temporary correction, not a crash, not a bubble popping, not the Apocalypse...

One large sell-off and all the gurus rush to celebrate, specially those with something to sell.
Two days later: all the quality "overpriced" businesses are back on track, while the gurus keep bagholding their cheap-for-a-reason value crap.

If you know what you are doing and have been paying attention to fundamentals, there is no surprise.

Thank you for the context, Sven.
Could you maybe discuss the subject of "passive investing bubble" in the future? Would like to hear your view.

Rates are still on hold here in Australia so no cuts for us anytime soon. No joy for the market.

This analysis is good if we think in a traditional way, however I started to think that the new investing style in the market will lead to further growth even without fundamentals. Market is perceived as a casino, perhaps because now there are many more nornal people (many of them young and wild) investing than ever before. Just a thought.
