Stihl RMA460 vs RMA460V -- What's the difference?

So what’s the difference?

On one hand, the RMA460 is part of Stihl’s AK battery series, and it is your traditional push mower, weighing around 60 lbs. It comes with the AK 30 battery, and in most cases, you’ll get about 40 minutes of runtime out of that battery (although it has a second battery slot so you can bring backup).

On the other hand, we have the RMA 460V. This is a rear-wheel drive, self-propelled, variable speed mower. If you have hills and you don’t want the added workout of pushing your mower up, then you might consider pivoting to the RMA 460V.

Whichever battery-powered mower you decide on on between the RMA 460 and RMA 460V, both of these mowers fold up nice and compact for easy storage…just make sure that your battery is clicked in before you fold it up!

I would imagine the push version would have a longer battery life since it's not using energy to move it.

I wish still spaced that blade to the bottom of the cut deck instead of half inch up great mower just doesn’t like spongy grass. If you fold the handle again you can fit it in tighter spots again. Mated with the AK 30 great piece of kit. Just wish more of my customers could get excited about it!

After the first season, the self propelled feature stopped working. After two years, the back wheels have frozen up and won't turn -- after hours of WD40k. Very disappointed in an expensive mower that worked beautifully for the first few months.
