You are a good teacher. In fact I would go so far to say you are a great teacher. What I have learned from you whether by roles you played or interviews that you’ve given is immense and character building.

Martin Sheen is one of the USA's greatest actors imo. And he obviously leans to the left side of the political spectrum. But he always seems so open minded about the thought processes of both political sides. And hearing him speak about playing Robert E Lee, you can tell he did so without an agenda and left his own political beliefs at the door. He learned as much as he could about both sides in the US Cival War, and a lot about Lee. He doesn't judge him and tries to see things from Lee's perspective, whether he personally agrees with them or not. And that's one of the many things that makes him a great actor. When he takes on a role he does his best to see the world through the character's eyes. Clearly one of the greats.

EDIT: I think he would have been a great teacher.

99% of interviewers could learn the common sense of listening and not interrupting with one liners from this.

Martin an amazing actor, eco activist and wonderful person; his sense of humor during protest to save a wetland in LA adds much to our film The Last Stand: Heroes at Ballona Wetlands and earlier feature versions

ask for. and those words literally like music coming from the mouths of those incredibly talented actors.

he says meade didnt hold a command before gettysburg, and brfore recieving command of the Army of the Potomac. However he commanded a Division in the first corps at fredericksburg and even the whole 5th corps around the time of chancellorsville. so in assuming martin meant army command.
