"There is no art without transformation..." - Robert Bresson

It's been forever since I have last posted anything. My PC is broken down and I had to use my laptop to edit this. Took me awhile, but I did my best with whatever I had on the laptop. In one/two weeks I'll get replacement parts for my PC and roll on a new page for our channel!

With this I just want to show you what I love about cinema in general. I just wanted to combine my favourite directors speaking about art, our place in this world and cinema. I hope you'll love it.

This should be played at the start of this year’s Academy Awards. The psychological depths of art is so complex; mixing beauty and chaos at once. This edit demonstrates how much more expanded my love for film has become and how eager I am in watching the more classic films that came before my time. I crave to understand more of what makes cinema, cinema.

How oddly motivational this was too! Many of us (like myself) that want to fulfill a dream go on and wait for it to happen instead of getting off their asses and making it happen. Procrastination is a killer of art and a poison to the soul of an artist. This video motivates me to push onwards not only in editing, but in the entire process of filmmaking. Thank you David.

TheGaroStudios is literally the only Youtuber where I stop everything I'm doing to watch their newest video.

"There is no art without transformation." With every masterpiece video, you help the viewer transform into a truer version of themselves, more connected to humanity, so we can begin to face: "Why does man exist?". An overwhelming question only bearable thanks to profound art like yours.

3 Things:
I just wanted to say a huge thank from me for all you did when I was younger. I was taken away from my mother in the middle of the night when I was 9 and into a foster home in a horrible area with people who were awful to me. I wasn't allowed the internet so all I had was the audio from the Doctor Who videos you made that I downloaded onto my laptop. Every single day without fail I'd listen to those audio files and cry and laugh and feel inspired. I'd recite every line from each video by heart as the file would play, remembering the visual that came with it that you edited. In a notebook, I wrote down every line. When my social worker came to visit me I'd quote the lines to her, imagining the music you chose (especially Sleeping at Last) playing in the background because of the words from Doctor Who that you chose could better get the feeling I had across, the pain and loneliness. I felt so alone during that time and you brought so much happiness and hope into my life without even knowing about it. Thank you so much, I love your videos, I love your style. You've really inspired me. Thank you.

How do you download the clips from the films?!? I've been dying to know since I first saw your channel when I was 8 years old, a massive doctor who fan, sitting in my room watching your videos in 2015.

Please will you watch The Phantom Thread if you haven't already done so I'd really like to know what you think?

The great thing about cinema is that it's an amalgamation of all other art forms; music, image, choreography, writing, etc. All at once. And to know cinema, is to know the world. And how we as humans interact with the world. Cinema gives us a third eye to see things in a different perspective.

I couldn’t click fast enough. You are truly an artist and have a great understanding and appreciation for the medium.

Ps: it would be such a delight if you ever did a 2001 video or maybe an overall Kubrick tribute.
