Been trying to learn Spanish using lots of resources but your channel is the one I would recommend the most. Very concise and well explained. Kudos.

Your teaching makes me believe that I CAN eventually be a fluent Spanish speaker. No other teacher I've had has been able to do that. Mil gracias!

DUDE!!!! THIS WAS AWESOME!!! I learned Spanish in high school in '83-84 and actually USED it since then. However, I never got training on the subjunctive. It wasn't until I learned Portuguese in the early 90s that I understood what the subjunctive was and realized I had to backtrack to learn the Spanish version of it. Portuguese uses it a little more and actually actively uses the FUTURE subjunctive but THIS subjunctive series helps A LOT!!!👍👍👏👏

I'm a Spanish native speaker and I'm impressed with your speaking, you speak with a very soft and nice accent. I have to say the truth, I had to watch more than one video to get to know if you were native or not hahaha. Felicitaciones, seguramente has hecho un gran esfuerzo para llegar a ese nivel.

I took four years of university Spanish (30 years ago). All my professors were native speakers. I got straight As. But I could swear we never covered subjunctives. None of this is the slightest bit familiar to me. I’ve been living in Mexico for 19 years and getting along just fine, but I’ve always known that there are things out there that I still didn’t understand and wasn’t saying correctly. It feels great that I’m finally beginning to understand this. ¡Muchísimas gracias!

Your explanation of the subjunctive has made the (grammatical) lyrics to "Robarte un Beso" make so much more sense

Thanks for all these great videos on the use of the subjunctive. Up until now, I've been avoiding focusing too much on grammar in my learning, and trying to listen to as much comprehensible input in Spanish as possible. I feel like I've reached a point where I've heard the subjunctive used enough in context in Spanish that your lessons are really helping me. Escucho tus videos para poder mejorar mi español. Preparo clases para que mis alumnos puedan ameliorar su francés. Muchísimas gracias!

Thanks so much. I’m using Duolingo and they’ve started throwing in para que sentences in a unit on the past subjunctive. I haven’t run into para que yet in my college Spanish classes, so you rescued me. Thanks for the very clear explanation. I’m subscribing for more!

Question: on Deepl it translates; I painted the house so it would sell faster.- pinte la casa para que venderia mas rapido and pinte la casa para que vendiera mas rapido - I painted the house so that it would sell faster.

Would and could after para que require the imperfect subjunctive. Outstanding, Paul! Greatly simplifies the use of the imperfect subjunctive with a handy trigger. Props, amigo! (Props: sports lingo = congratulations, good job, well done, etc.)
