I cant believe I'm such a creature of those times.. But ever since I rediscovered the facets of YouTube, I am continuously listening to Cat Stevens, as I did when he was new and I was 13 or so...  Foreigner Suite has always been my secret song no one knew about.. or so I I thought, I thought I was the only one who still listens to it.. Amazing song, skill and a treasured talent of the ages. These songs seem timeless to me.

I discovered Cat Stevens many years ago, when I returned from the war in 1969. I was attracted to all his melodies, I owned several of his albums. I recall one evening seeing Stevens perform Foreigner Suite on a television program, I was immediately drawned to it. I remember thinking that it didn't fit the usual mold of commercially produced records back then - it was long, each side was a contiuous track. But it was beautiful, an outpouring of music - almost like the musician was melody-laden and needed an outlet. Just a string of musical segments, any one which could've easily been made into a single. Thanks for posting it here, it was nice feeling the vibes again.
