That was something new for me. I am used to cooking beets without peeling or cutting them so they don't loose colour (as I was told by my mother 😄) But even though a ton of colour went into water your beets still look pretty red to me. I'll definitely try your method the next time 🔥

I steam the beets in a rice cooker. The skin peels off really easy. Boiling in this manner is quick. But, most of the nutrition is destroyed.
