Oh my god, I have no idea why my emulator stopped reading games from my external hard drive for no reason but was working fine for everything else. Because of your video, all I had to do was change the drive letter and it miraculously started working again! Thank you! SOULTION 3 FOR THE WIN ;D

Non worked for me, it doesn't even show up the capacity or name of the drive, and in disk management it doesn't even have any partitions, all it says under Disk 5 is 'Removable (E:) Online'. All steps I tried I was met with 'cannot access' and 'I/O error' messages. I tried using it with other devices but still couldn't access the USB drive. I'm thinking that it's probably a hardware issue and something within the drive itself is dead.

I'm trying step 4 but it seems to have stalled around 24% and the remaining time just keeps increasing. I let it continue to run last night and now it is up to 53:31:00 and counting and still at 24%. Is it seriously going to take that long???

my usb was write locked so i followed the command prompt method (attributes disk clear readonly) that was successful but then i did ( clean) and it gave me an I/O device error and noe of these methods helped is there something i forgot or is my usb toast
