I think the HBX wins hands down. It’s got better shocks, CVD’s in the front, it’s gonna have better part support being a more well known brand, it’s got a better radio with more functions, bigger, beefier oil filled shocks, and plus it’s $10 cheaper.

I'm a big fan of deerc but I sent back the 300E I ordered. Yeah it was ripping 32 miles an hour on 3S, but the tires are garbage ( although my version had real beadlock rings with 6 hex bolts per). Honestly even on 2S there's way too much power and not enough Mass in the vehicle. I have never driven an RC that was as flip happy as the 300E. On 3s if you go even half throttle from a full stop the truck just flips over like a pancake with a little 90° twist. And woo buddy is this thing jittery and wild near its top speed or under hard throttle. I tried to make it better, I filled the shocks with oil, laid them more sideways and loosened up the springs... It helped but not enough. Very frustrating to drive, it would snap around and switch directions constantly, almost just hop a 180 in the wrong direction usually. I love my 9500e and my 9201e but the 300D was not really much fun other than getting into and then surviving some pretty wild and kinetic crashes.

I put a hobbywing 30 amp ESC with a 2435 4500 KV motor in the 18859a. Ran a lot of battery packs through it and haven't broken any gears yet. Even on 3s, though I mostly run to 2s. Highly recommend!

I own the 18859 brushed, and this new 18859A. Both are fun. The brushless is faster. I added metal driveshafts and shocks to the original brushed. New one is stock. Can't beat them for the money.

I fully disagree. My 300e beats out my 18859a in every way. Including but not limited to price, speed, suspension, battery. (run time / mah) The moral of the story is your opinion is askew. Thankfully I'm not some noob that doesn't know any better. Show me facts to support your opinion... I'll wait ⏱️

Have you upgraded the HBX yet?
It was my 1st truck testing the waters seeing if i still love rc as a adult (plus i just wanted it) it truned me out i quickly went on to buy a old school nitro Team associated mgt 3.0 love everything about it but its a project needs some work and love. So went and got the arrma granite 4x4 3s a amazing truck that has only seen 1 battery so far. Now I'm looking back at my HBX i want to upgrade it but not spend a lot thoughts were to get a cheap Chinese kit 🤔 its a cheap knock off truck figured why not get the best of all the cheap knock off parts and rebuild it motor ecu servo gears motor mount arms wheels keep the body maybe add a hop up plate on the bottom idk..

Deerc 300e for me. It has metal driveshafts upgrade, and a lot of parts from Latrax Teton fits.

This comparison seems bias, especially since you mentioned you have always been a hbx fan. So i dont think its a true honest comparison review
