How to free up space on Onedrive by transferring files to computer

Man... This helped me so much. It allowed me to control where I could download all the files on there, test if each of them worked, then I could delete the files online, and completely unlink, so that way, I won't have to worry about the pop-ups, and my info being caught on the cloud. I got an external harddrive for a reason.

This new windows is a pain.... it says my one drive is full and all the stuff that am downloading from the Net is coming with a cross sign....and i haven't even download 5gb....but my ssd is 1tb!!!so why are my files not getting stored on my ssd!???? Anyone???

When I open Settings, I do not get the window shown at 1:25. The tabs displayed are General, Sharing, Security. Previous Versions, Customize. I cannot find a Files on Demand. I went to cutting and pasting files from OneDrive to my C drive. The files moved, they are in the OneDrive recycle bin but also still in OneDrive. Can you please advise? Thank you, your directions were very clear, I just can't make it work.

At 1:18 you say "Go here and click..." I can't see what that is because the YouTube icons are covering over it. Can you clarify? I moved some photos from my SD card to my OneDrive thinking that it would just copy them, but it removed them from my SD card, which I want as backup. will this help me with that?

My windowws onedrive folder has 900 GB but my onedrive on the web says almsot 1 TB. How can I make it only keep what is in my windows folder? Online onedrive is holding files I do not want and too many to figure out which ones should be gone but are not gone onlinbe

I disabled onedrive and all the icons for my games disappeared however they are still available locally. Is there a way to see the icons agains

I have a question if you could address urgently. now and then on my surface pro 6 when I am typing, all of a sudden the files starts deleting by itself. the box appears saying 'interrupted action' and this file is no longer located in one drive. it send it straight to the recycling. I purchased additional space and also rebooted my surface pro also and installed windows 11. still the same problem. Any suggestions please that would be great my friend.
