Why I Backed Avatar Journey of Aang

Hello Family!

I've been looking forward to this game for MONTHS now, and finally Bad Crow Games has released the campaign for Avatar the Last Airbender Journey of Aang on Gamefound. There wasn't much coverage for this game prior to it's launch, which I think hurts it a bit. When backing games, seeing gameplay and components are a big deal for backers. What's awesome is there's a TTS mod for the game, which I will be playing for you all as well. Going through it a few times gave me the baseline for what to expect, and I got to say I'm impressed. This game feels like an Avatar game, not a game with Avatar in it. So let's chat further about this as we go through the campaign and I tell you about why I backed this project.

I do think moving Zhao to Book 1 is possible.

I think part of it is that I binge watched the series together, and my thought when designing it is that Zuko is the primary adversary at the very beginning, thus "he must be the Book 1 Fire Adversary. However if one zooms out and focuses more specifically at the hard point transitions between books (seasons) you are 100% correct, Zhao's arc ends definitively in Book 1.

I'm going to think on it a bit more, but currently based on that thought process I am leaning towards swapping Zuko to Book 2, and Zhao to 1 perhaps does feel more appropriate.
