PLOT: John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is doing hard time in jail when his former boss, Col. Troutman (Richard Crenna), offers him a deal. If Rambo travels to Vietnam to try to find the American prisoners of war, his criminal record will be expunged. Rambo takes the reconnaissance assignment and agrees not to get involved in any of the action. However, when his Vietnamese lover, Co Bao (Julia Nickson), is killed by American forces, Rambo forgets his promise and takes matters into his own hands.

I remember going to the cinema to see this on it's release. It was quite an experience. People standing and cheering, throwing drinks at the screen. Lots of racist outbursts from the audience. The atmosphere was pretty unpleasant at times.

Oh dear, green berets aren’t helicopter pilot trained, you would not wear m60 ammo bandolier it would be painful and catch on items in the jungle., you would not spay ak47 fire all over the place. They are language trained, so he would have some Vietnamese …. Explosive arrows? Probably blow yourself up. Giant Bowie’s are heavy, a k-bar knife is just fine. Terrible military advisor.
