THIS ANIMATIC TOOK ME LIKE A MONTH TO MAKE but only because I did absolutely nothing for like three weeks straight and only finished it 10 minutes ago--

the last like minute of the video is not canon to the game I just ran out of game canon to use

also thumbnail looks icky cuz I threw it together in ten seconds

Im imagining that this is where you give elderbug the delicate flower and it makes it so much more sad because we were the first to show elderbug genuine gratitude and the delicate flower is placed on the knights grave thing
Also im not one to cry over animations usually BUT IM CRYING UNCONTROLLABLY

Legitimately so sad, I've never really thought about the character arcs of hornet and ghost before and I've just realized how tragic they are.
"I know what you are. I know what you'd try to do. I can't allow it" I think hornet tried to justify the murder of the previous vessel to herself by thinking that it was for the greater good. Hornet might've actually done it because she was scared to see her mother and sibling die. So she kills innocent bugs just to protect herself, in a process more cruel than letting the vessels end the hollow knight. Hornet has to learn to let go of her sibling and mother.

All this is so good and hits so hard!
The Knight having enotions, crying, tearing up, panicking, and stressed out? It really adds character, and adds up to the fact that The Knight is probably just an ageless "child" who has stepped out of the place they had stayed for so long into an eniterely dark, scary World awaiting with dangers from all over. Imagine how frightening it must've been for them! But, it seems as the journey went on, they got more used to it, and by the time they battled Hornet, they were ready, and no longer afraid.
And the shots of Hornet with what remains of Little Ghost (The Knight) and her actually in tears, really...
You're animations/animatics are great, ever since I found your Mama's Boy Rain World animation. I was even surprised to find out it was you who made this.

Your style is so fantastic. All the characters are made of such strong and organic shapes in every pose. It all feels so fluid without sacrificing detail. The way the fabric hangs off them, and the way you have the characters emote, it's all absolutely top notch

I love this so, so, so much. I couldn’t possibly begin to explain how much. I’m an animator and was going through artblock when I saw this, it inspired me to keep going with animation. I hope this gets more popular, it deserves every like it has.
