BEST VALUE BIKES WITH SHIMANO 105 | RACE | AERO | ENDURANCE | BIKOTIC

I collected the data for 65 bikes with Shimano 105 gearing - then sorted them with my BIKOTIC BIKE VALUE (BBV) formula. I then sorted them into Endurance, Aero and All round light weight race categories - in this video I take a look at the top 5 in each category.

Great video! Definitely worth a sub. I’ve spent a lot of time looking for a good mid-entry level road bike with 105; I ended up with the Scultura 400 rim and I love it! So much bike for the price, most underrated brand in my view!

My hack, Trek Domaine AL3, upgraded wheel set to Mavic Ksyrium (rim brake, got a good discount), kept Sora crankset (52-34) and brake calipers, but was able to run the R7000 (11-34) rear cassette. All in ~ $1, 850. Weight ~ 8.8kg. Probably could shave a few hundred grams with a crankset, saddle, and maybe stem upgrade, but this works for me and added gearing helps on climbs.

Man, what a video. This is excellent. I am thinking about buying a bike to leave at my second home, so I don't need to carry my other bike around, and this video will help a lot. I'd would have put the Endurace as an all rounder. Weird, I know. But if you compare its geometry to the Orbea Avant or the Giant Defy, the endurace is more of a 'racing bike' than the other two. Good job!

Decathlon sells (here in Italy) full blown Ultegra rim brake bikes for 1100€ (1000 pounds). Aluminum but its insane value for money. They even put some nice Mavic Cosmic Wheels on it.
