Transforming a 90's Hot Wheels PC into a Modern Gaming Beast

I spent thousands of dollars on some of the most powerful gaming PC hardware available, and crammed in a Hot Wheels PC case from 1999. As well as some other nonsense.

Thanks to Micro Center for sponsoring this video and funding this absurd project.

Dude, this is wild to see after coming across that HWPC in the warehouse back then. Props for actually finding a way to cram all of that tech into the cramped lil thing, I know how hard these are to work with. And the additional monitors, subwoofer, pads and other additions are fantastic. As mentioned over email last year, I'm really glad that Hot Wheels PC ended up finding a home, these goofy things deserve to live a new life 👍

Also what the heck, Dallas Computer Works closed? That's a shame, it was a neat little shop to visit.

Microcenter is literally an example for how to do promotions right.

This is so incredible that I could give it to my future son. There are really people who do incredible things.

Hot Wheels: "Lets make a PC"
Shank: "But what if it sounded like a real racecar?"

the fact you set up all 6 screens for basically a few seconds of shots is great

every time I thought it couldn't get better, it got better. The commitment to the bit, keeping the floppy drive in the system, the head gasket failure. Splendid

The amount of creativity behind these projects is insane, genuinely some of the best content I've seen on this site.

I was audibly cackling when you broke out the subwoofer!!!

You definitely did the Hot Wheels PC justice with this and made it even cooler than it appeared in the old photos I've seen of it. Also loved all the little extra visual gags you threw in throughout the video. Great vid!!

this was absolute insanity, you went above and beyond to keep the 2000s era obnoxiousness alive and i absolutely love it

Honestly at a loss of words, this was phenomenal! The PC, the story telling, the editing, everything was so good. Keep it up

It truly doesn’t get better than playing Minecraft on 9 CRT monitors, does it?

I was cackling for the last five minutes or so of the video, I love ridiculous projects like this I’m looking forward to the next one!

I can't believe that a store like Micro Center actually paid you thousands of dollars for this idea.

And all you have to do is give them a shoutout? That's the best deal ever!

The engineers of the hot wheels PC did well in planning for the size of modern components back then! Impressive!

Helping with "stupid" stuff like this is exactly why Micro Center might be the best place to do computer and parts shopping.
That also includes the footage shot outside the store.

i like how after the gamecube joycon video he made, painting isnt set as this big deal as he gets more and more comfortable with it, eventually turning into the mastery of "and after a little bit of painting" with only mere seconds of painting footage shown displays true mastery and comfortability with painting, very nice detail.
