I’ve been collecting for 2 years now, and I think any hotwheels that I find cool, I find valuable

I wanna say for people who just like hot wheels like me.

Collect what you like, not what will be valuable.

I think it should be obvious but seriously you dont have to do anything except collect to be a collector. the resell value simply doesn't matter if you just like it.

None of my hotwheels are anything above the mainline ones, but i love every single one of them just because it gives me joy collecting them. Imo the better collector cars don't even look that good, so make sure to never forget to enjoy the collecting first and foremost^^

The cars I go for are the officially licensed ones based on actual vehicles such as Volkswagons, Corvettes and Lamboginis. I also collect character cars and 'Hollywood diecasts' based on cars from films and shows. I have recently got into collecting monster tucks too. great review. very informative. keep up the great work.

Collected hot wheels from 99-03 just collecting mainlines and TH and left the hobby. Started again 2 years ago and it was a different world I got turned on to. Meeting the right collectors that I call friends now, I am into the RLC and convention pieces. Hot wheels has gotten so big that within the 2 years I have so many cars that go for pretty good money. Alot of which I get out at stores or when the RLC drops a new car. I'm not a reseller so for me I love the collecting aspect of it. Enjoy your cars and have respect for the hobby. It's awesome.

I'm a kind of collector myself, and I realise all the Hotwheel cars I have is just common. Still, it makes me excited even though they are not that detailed.

I recently heard that American retail outlet Kroegrer have produced exclusive Hotheels cars that are even rarer than Super treasure hunts. These cars in question are standard mainlines but what makes them so sought after and collectable are the backing cards they are on themselves which are in black and white with the idea that you colour them in yourself. These are ones you definitely want to keep in their packaging if you are fortunate enough to obtain them.

I've been collecting for 11 years, I'm a person who does not really care about the value of 1/64 scale cars since I customize almost 98% of them. however it's nice to see these videos, really enjoying them!

All I see is anything 'rare' being stolen from store. Sadly there are lots of Hot Wheels fans just stealing stuff to flick on eBay

The sweet 16. I had them all in the packages, until i was robbed in 1998. My dad told me when i was a kid to buy two of each . You can play with one and keep the other one in a box. And thats what i did . I wonder where they ended up. It tore my heart out when they were stole from me. Also stolen were my vinyl albums . just over 9000 albums. That hurt more than the Hot Wheels. Years later i did start over, but will never recover from the past. I am at around 1500 now with rare cars found at different locations around the country. Will be selling them in the next year or two. A total package deal to the right person.

I'm a girl and I've been collecting hot wheels since I was like 12 I remember going to this flea market and there was this woman selling her old hot wheels and they were pretty rare I think they were old the card (packaging) was like vintage and it was a whole set and she was happy to see another girl in the same hobby so she sold them to me half price. One of the best days of my life honestly that woman was so sweet

Nice video drifter! I used to care about rarity and supers and I even prioritized them but now, I just gave up and instead focused on other lines. (mostly because despite the desperate hunting sessions, I found no supers and my super count was 0)

Ironically, I started finding the supers I wanted in second-hand shops. I also found even more cars from other brands which have a limited production marking.

Collect what you like and keep it fun. If you’re not careful your hobby can become an obsession.

Another tip on value of cars: don't trust eBay for values all the time. Some listings aren't what they seem and are just there to hype things up and makes things worse. Sometimes, if you check sold listings on eBay, you can get a rough estimate on what your car is worth
