VIDEO DESCRIPTION:

This family of five stepped out of their comfort zone and now lives full-time in a 1998 Military Stewart and Stevenson. This self-converted tiny home isn't so tiny with massive tires, two 12ft slide-outs, and 2600 watts of solar. They can comfortably be off-grid for eight days with a total of 105 gallons of fresh water, a diesel heater, and extra material stored in the trailer they tow.

A convenient passthrough connects the cab to the living space for easy access. The kitchen has a residential four-burner stove/oven, a decent fridge, and a dining table that suits the entire family. The lighting was essential to keep this monster rig bright, so they installed several large windows and overhead skylights. Spending a total of $80,000, this family doesn't regret a dime paid for the reward of quality time and new adventures!

I love seeing families thinking outside the box and doing things like this, that truly are for the betterment of their family unit. We've all been deceived to think what is "normal". So glad they were in the financial position to do this :)

What a lovely home on wheels
The children's bunk beds are great. What memories this family is making.
Stay safe on your journey.

I saw that they had New Mexico stickers inside. Out of state residents can get a New Mexico state pass for $220.00 a year. It allows you to stay for free at any NM state park, which by the way have showers, bathrooms, trash service, dumpstations and park rangers, and some even have play parks too. Alot of the parks close their gates at sunset, which I feel is safer than BLM land. If you want water and electric, they charge you $4.00 a night.

Things are much easier when you are organized. This lady does what I always dreamt of being. Being organized is the foundation for success. Thank you for giving me ideas that I can use immediately to my kitchen organized. I wish you and your family the best and that you stay safe and healthy.

15 yrs ago I had an operation on my hip that left me unable to work but left me in pain 24/7 and taking two types of morphine to cope with it but being able to be there and see my 4 kids and the wife fulfills me so much just to be with them.
Would have loved to have been able to have experienced something like what you guys have tho. Take care guys

Only thing not sure about bunk for older son as dad mentioned trailer was also for things you wouldn’t want in the rig or things that smell, not sure that’s the best place for the young man. Otherwise all looks good. One commenter mentioned they have since sold the rig. If so hopefully they got a good return on their investment.

Your living my dream. I love your beautiful home on wheels. I wouldn't need as much room as it would only be 3 of us. I hope that I can retire to RV living before I get to old to really be able to enjoy it. My only con is the toilet situation lol but its not enough to change my dream. Enjoy life and living it your way 👍❤

Amazing….love the whitewashed wood and sky lights, and the slides make it not too squished. And I think likely better than a standard RV, where you never quite know of its quality underneath, or “whatever looks nice and works for a few years.”

I’m building a hummer with a tiny home trailer and I’m having a blast. I can’t wait for it to be done. I’m already living out of the trailer on a farm so I know power consumption, water etc. I have exterior siding to do, solar kit and swapping my hummer engine to diesel. I used the hummer during the freedom convoy with a tent beside and it gave me the idea to build the trailer. A place to call home in any situation.
