Love these videos, so well thought out & informative! I gave in last year & finally bought prescription polarized bifocal sunglasses…spendy but worth every penny (I just turned 50 this month). I used to laugh at my Dad when he was my age, trying to thread the eye on small to tiny hooks…now I get it. Of course he’s mid 70s now & laughs at me saying, “ just wait!” LOL!

I have become addicted to this channel. You make great content and have helped me with ideas for the Kayak I pick up today, it’s a 2023 Old Town Sportsman AutoPilot 136 I ordered for half price because it wasn’t painted.

I like what you did with the DYI crate. However, with a need to secure as well as weatherproof my crate my solution differed. A Baur waterproof lockable tool box from Harbor Freight which has two removal tool racks which which work great for tools, lures etc. I then mounted two 3 piece rod holders from Wal-Mart. Well you get the picture. Do love the videos, make us think and although we may do things differently you are very good at keeping it enjoyable as well as educational. Some good tips. Because as you well know, it's better to learn from others mistakes whenever possible. LOL

Love me some "post mortem". Wish I'd have focused on boat positioning before I ever threw on a rod holder. Just watched your DIY keel guard v-2; how's the Goop holding up? Do you think it's the same as 3M-5200? I do woodworking also, just sub'd your wife's channel. Peace.

If you do your homework on the lake/pond you’re fishing you can streamline the amount of gear you bring . I typically have 1 double sided 3600 size box under my seat for hardbaits and 8-10 bags of soft plastics and terminal tackle in the crate . What’s in the box depends on the body of water . Keep it simple
