Opening Revelation

Tithing is an Old Testament principle that carries New Testament power. (Matt. 5:17)

* Jesus didn’t lower the standard—He fulfilled it and raised the level of surrender.
* Arguments over tithing are distractions from the deeper truth: generosity is where growth happens.
* Don’t waste all your faith trying to master the minimum—graduate to the fun and freedom of giving.
* Generosity invites the Holy Spirit to activate the principle of multiplication in your life. (Acts 20:35)

* Jesus gave the disciples an eternal principle.
* He placed them near people with provision—positioning matters.
* Organize the problem. Miracles often begin with structure.
* What was not enough became more than enough once it was:
1. Blessed

1. It must be blessed before it multiplies.
* You have to surrender it to God first.
2. It must be given away before it multiplies.
* The miracle doesn’t happen in the keeping, it happens in the giving.
* Multiplication happens in the hands of the one who obeys.

WORK I.T. – Unlocking the Principle of Multiplication

W – Work
* Proverbs 14:23 / Colossians 3:23–24
* Work is not punishment, it’s preparation. Work develops your capacity to give.
* Work is not just about output, it’s about investment.
* God honors what you’re willing to work for.

O – Out of Debt
* Romans 13:8
* Debt hinders your ability to give freely.
* Pay it off so you can partner with God in generosity.
* Freedom to give comes when you’re not bound to owe.
* Plan to give, and God will provide the vehicle.

R – Remove Manipulation
* 2 Corinthians 9:7
* Don’t give under pressure.
* Giving is a response to God’s love, not a requirement to earn it.
* Give in anticipation, not obligation. Decide in your heart, give with purpose, and expect God to move.

K – Know When to Give
* Luke 21:1–4
* Giving isn’t about the amount, it’s about obedience.
* The widow’s small gift meant everything to God.
* Obedience unlocks overflow. Some of the greatest impact comes from sacrificial obedience.

I – Impact Ambassador
* Matthew 5:14–16 (MSG)
* You are the light of the world—not just in word, but in action. You were made to shine and lead others to God.
* Giving reflects the character of Christ.
* Let your giving be a testimony of God’s goodness and grace.

T – Trust God
* Proverbs 3:5
* Trust God with your seed, your supply, and your story.
* You don’t have to understand multiplication to activate it.
* Obedience unlocks outcomes that logic never could.

Conclusion: WORK IT or Waste It

* If you don’t work the principle, you’ll never walk in multiplication.
* You can’t pray your way into overflow without obedience and movement.
* The blessing isn’t in the receiving, it’s in the giving/releasing.
* Stop overthinking it. Start practicing it. Work what God gave you!

“Lord, give us a revelation of generosity. Help us to live as lenders, not borrowers. Give me strategy, strength, and stewardship. Show me how to work everything I’ve been given as worship to You. I’ve been spending time in prayer and study about tithing, and I wanted to share something that’s been unfolding in my spirit. As I go deeper into the Word, I’m realizing that tithing is not just a financial act, but a spiritual one — one rooted in obedience, honor, and relationship. When the Bible speaks of tithes as “grain” or “first fruits, ” it’s not just about produce, but about giving God the first and best of what we have — whether that’s income, time, energy, or obedience.

I found it interesting that the word “grain” in Hebrew is often connected to the word “ear” — like the ear of grain, but also symbolically as the ear to hear. That spoke to me: tithing is just as much about having ears to hear what God is asking from us, and how He wants us to give. Sometimes, that means sowing financially into the church — but sometimes, it means giving 10% of our time to the Lord, our listening, our creativity, or even to people and places that are part of His greater storehouse.

That leads me to the Scripture where God says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse.” I’ve been reflecting on what God’s storehouse really is — and I believe it’s bigger than just one physical church building. The storehouse is any place where spiritual food is stored and distributed — where people are fed the truth, where God’s presence dwells, where souls are being nurtured. That can be a church, yes, but also a ministry, a mission, or even a person that God has anointed to carry out part of His Kingdom work. I believe we’re called to seek those storehouses with discernment and give as He leads — not just based on tradition, but by the Spirit.

I’m so grateful for this journey of learning and seeking, and I truly appreciate your leadership. I just wanted to share this because I know you value revelation and truth, and I’m excited about going deeper into giving from a place of love, alignment, and obedience to God.
