Barbarians may not be the best class in DnD 5e, but they have some pretty neat subclasses. I try to explain all nine of them as fast as humanly possible to help you decide which one is best for you.

It’s not exactly a barbarian subclass tier list, but I do give ratings for each one. Even the best barbarian subclasses don’t break B-tier, though, and some might consider me generous for even giving them that.

totem warriors deserve more credit then you gave them, the bear totem barbarian becomes pretty well indestructible when they rage

Beast shifter barb is definietly alot of fun mechanically and story wise. Basically the lycanthropic equivalent of going super saiyan 2. Totem might be busted, but beast is probsbly my personal favorite

ancestral guardian should have been a shaman-like aka witch doctor. imagining te DM making a spiritof your MoM. and the barbarian just cried while the spirit nagged him to make good decision

I forgot that berserkers can frighten. It takes your action and the dc should be pretty low since it’s 8+chr+proficiency. It’s not a feature that you’re ever likely to use.
