Barilla | How to make Penne Bolognese in ONE POT

Recipe: One Pot Barilla Penne Bolognese
Serves: 2
Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
- 160g Barilla Penne Rigate
- 1 jar Barilla Bolognese sauce
- 400g water
- 30g carrots, finely chopped
- 30g celery, finely chopped
- 30g onions, finely chopped
- 200g beef, minced
- 20g Parmigiano Reggiano, grated
- 25g Extra Virgin Olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste

Method:
1. In a large casserole pot, sauté the chopped onion, carrot and celery in a little Extra Virgin Olive oil for 1-2 mins. Add beef and brown, making sure there are no lumps.
2. Add the Barilla Bolognese sauce; bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 mins, adding salt and pepper as required.
3. Refill the jar with water (400 ml) and add to the sauce. Bring to the boil, then drop the Barilla Penne Rigate into the sauce and stir.
4. Let boil, gently but constantly for 15 mins, adding if necessary a little of hot water, till the water is absorbed and the pasta is cook al dente.
5. Remove the pot from the heat, add grated cheese and serve with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
