The aircraft was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but also has ground attack, electronic warfare, and signal intelligence capabilities.

When I look at these pilots I feel every other person can be rich, ride expensive cars, bikes and boats, but there are very few people who get to fly a Raptor. For me they are the luckiest.

I can never get tired of watching this pinnacle of fighter jet technology doing its business. From the pre flight procedures to taxing to performing these amazing maneuvers. And last but not the least, the way the jet looks. A combination of grace and elegance combined with a sleekness above and beyond any other fighter jet in the world... Amazing..

I loved the look on the pilot's face before he put his helmet on: "Yay, yay, yay - I get to fly this incredible aircraft today!!!!" Hard work got him there but what a lucky guy he is...

This was filmed at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas. I know because I live here. I get F22 flyovers once or twice a week. When they are taking off they head straight over my house and it is loud enough, but sometimes they reverse the flight patterns and they land flying over my house. When they are landing they are literally only about 100 to 150 ft. off the ground when they fly over. They are so loud my house shakes when they fly over. And they always fly in pairs.

I was lucky enough to catch a couple of airshows at Andrews. Truly a mouth open, staring at the sky experience, then...no more airshows!

Been about 150 meters away from a Raptor when it flew by in front of me in an airshow, to this day I regret not having ear plugs with me at the time.

Its flight looks very stable and easily controlled. I am not pilot. But is seems that an aircraft responds in predictable and smooth manner to control. Low runaway speed makes it possible of launching an aircraft at any kind of airfields.

I am reminded of the two seagulls that were almost knocked out of the sky by a fast-mover F-22... The first seagull said, "Wow - did you see how fast that thing was going ?!!" The second seagull said, "Well you could fly that fast too if you had two buttholes and they were both on fire !"

To think that the Raptor is capable of *so much more, * and yet the only way you'd know about its true capabilities is if you're in a dogfight with it, is absolutely astonishing. The F-22 is as deadly at 100 miles as it is at 100 feet. Truly a remarkable piece of engineering.
