I experience the same. Simple, replace the crankcase sensor that actually is the crankcase-transmission sensor. This sensor is all the way down next to the starter. Intake needs to be removed. Run a test with a good scanner such as Aurel Mx800 or higher will tell you if you have a faulty crankcase sensor.

i just replaced all my e90 shift solenoids, transmission fluid and transmission bridge seal and 4 rubber tube sleeves

i had the same warning
now its back to normal after maintenance

total cost diy, about $200

Hello, i have the same problem guys! Can anyone help me out pls? I changed oil, filter, sealings… And still have the problem shifting 4-5. Is it possible that one of those silonoid defect?

I wasn't so lucky, my transimisson got all jerky, and in the end it didn't want to switch gears at all and the reverse wasn't working, I payed 3000eur for the repairment.

I have the sane problem. Sometimes i drive with 40-50 km/h peacefully. I got this message and feel something weird with the gearbox. I stop the car. After i start the engine 2 times, message fault gone and everything runs absolutly normal... any advice?

I have the situation, and i found the problem, rear left abs sensor, the wire was broken, not at all, i didn't have the dtc error, but i have transmisson error. Sometimes my cluster was lose the speed signal. Abs sensor is ok,
I fix the wire and it was ok, i don't have transimssion falut after doing this.
My veichle is e60 530d 2004

I have the same problem. I tested the alternator and turned out to be healthy. When I start the car charging at 14.3V. Does this mean the problem is elsewhere? Was it the same with you?

What seems to be the problem i got a 530 07. I was just about to accelerate when this massage turned on. I turned off the car and back on. The massage is gone. Gear now is smooth. I've been reading about the problem in many forums. Many say it might have a problem in e clutch for which the whole transmission needs be rebuild or changrd?
Any updates with your car?
