My E90: BMW 320i Fuel Consumption Test

Doing a fuel consumption test in a BMW 320i (E90 / MY2007) with 150hp. Aim of this test is not to give an exact specification of the fuel consumption of this car, but to show an approximation of the fuel consumption under real life circumstances.

As the result also depends on tyres, size of the rims, road condition, weather and equipment that may alter the exact weight of the car, your personal experience may differ from mine.

Hi, the idea of your videos is great, it's also very good that you are aware of the real speed thing. However remember that your current fuel consumption provided by this small needle under the tacho that you base your results on - can be inaccurate. Best way is to choose few speed limits, like: 90, 120, 140 (and then whatever higher is possible for you), set the speed using the cruise control (or just maintain the speed with your right foot) and once you will reach this speed you want to measure -> reset your average fuel consumption. Then drive for 10-15 kms at least and give the result you will have at the very end, cheers!

8 ltrs per 120 kmh, this 4 cyl not very economy, beter is bigger engine, same consumption and more speed and acceleration

I usually do ≈ 10.5l/100km driving 140-180 km/h, BUT this week I was curious about the gas consumption so I drove 120 (115-130) and did 7l/100km!

Mine is the 07 2.5 I6 with stick

hey man, i want to buy a BMW 320i 2006 or 2007. But i am very scared about gasoline (petrol) consumption. Will the LPG gas installation reduce maintenance costs? I mostly drive in the city, where is very often traffic jams. OR should i get 320d?

In my opinion you drive in 5 gear or you have a problem with you car 2.0i never do 8 l around 120km
