I Bought a PORTABLE Nintendo Wii from a subscriber...

Over the last decade or so, there have been a lot of people turning home consoles into portable consoles. And each year, they get more and more impressive. This Portable Wii was built by Gman back in 2019, but it's still a very cool portable Wii console. It does have some issues, but my guess is they are fixable... btw, please let me know in the comments if you have any info that could help me out! Also let me know if you have a custom console or custom portable console you are looking to sell - I am interested and might buy it from you.

I modded a wii for my daughter about 10 years ago the first year was straight tinkering all the time but once that was over we all love it Kid is 17 and its still hooked up in living room still played more than not

Wow, that's _really_ close to the DMG form factor. I imagined it being a lot larger. Also, the inside wiring is cleaner than I expected. Too bad it's so expensive.

Intermittent booting like that is a voltage issue. They're super sensitive in the real Wii and GC to have proper power delivery. I would say something to do with batteries used, or how the charging port hooks up. I've repaired quite a few of the real consoles. They are finicky with power delivery. Hope you can get a multimeter inside and check everything out.

why wouldn’t you check the voltage with something like a multimeter before you keep restarting it 😭 it’s definitely the power delivery if you’ve ever used a wii, i would chew this subscriber out

Hi. I've built one of these. My guess the issue is the datalines. Late in the kits cycle, we were told to use 34awg 'magnet wire' for the datalines. I do not think the community knew about magnet wire when G-Man built your gboy rev iii. Very cool that you have something that he built it. Also your gboy has a special shell. I'd fix it for you if I lived in NC
