That's a great idea for a series. For begginers mostly. My friend who just started watching your videos was so happy when she saw the chord tutorials, but she avoids barre chords bc she doesn't want to start with those. Small pro-tip: if there's a B major in a song you can replace B7, of course if it sounds good with the song. It depends but usually works. I used to do that, but now i love the barre version <3 greetings from Poland ;)

And I think other way is using the thumb finger on the “D” string “2nd” string on the 2nd fret

I actually find B easier than F but I play it using my 3rd finger to barre strings 2, 3 and 4. It might be harder at first but with practice you then only need two fingers to play the chord instead of four. If you can play a 3-string power chord using just your 1st and 3rd fingers you are most of the way there already.

Helpful tip GG to place the index finger on it's side rather than flat on.
If I may share my own five cents worth. When I come across a difficult chord or progression. I also consider where I position my thumb behind the fret board. To place it where there's less strain. Most particularly on my wrist.
And exactly what you did. I pluck each string individually at first to make sure they are not muted and strum until I develop good "finger memory ".
It is good to go back to basics at times and have a refresher. Just to make sure there is no bad habits or wrong techniques setting in.
