Wow I had no idea about Immurement. That’s really scary and not necessary at all especially as a sacrifice, man all nursery rhymes are so not nursery friendly at all.

I think the rhyme might even be about all of them but treating it as one.

“My fair Lady” I guess could be anyone we don’t know the name of, I read that some builders used to “offer their wives” to be buried alive (some were merciful and made sure the lady wasn’t alive before burying them in the structure)

But I mean why the fuck would anyone even think that burying someone alive would make a structure more sturdy - that’s ridiculous, I’m angry at that.

Whenever I hear stuff like this just makes me super greatful I wasn’t born in those times, and time has moved on
