Crunchy Kelp #shorts

Показать описание
This type of kelp looks like a water pipe and somewhat resembles a bullwhip, which is why it's called bull kelp. Bull kelp mainly grows in cold water regions and can form dense kelp forests underwater. It can grow to over 100 feet in length and grows remarkably fast—up to 7 inches per day. Bull kelp is harvested once every summer and is quickly made into pickles or kelp paste for better storage, ensuring a crunchy texture whenever it's eaten.

As a Canadian who lives in the middle of nowhere, we eat kelp heads (ball at the end) raw cut into cubes as a snack.

I’ve collected those on the California coast, they are incredibly fun to whip around your head in a circle and smash the little bulb on things but they spraw sea water everywhere 😂

What is amazing is how they grow so fast and under water, no need for summer weather and rain 😮 how is the nutritional value tho? Could be an even bigger business, depending on that.

Grows all along California. I’ve had the pickles. Pretty good.

Is that a chili oil version at the end?

Does it actually have flavor or just for texture?

Nature produces everything we need. It's almost as if it was designed that way.

I’ve eaten it straight out of the water while kayaking. Very crunchy and salty. 10/10 would eat again
