A HUGE mistake was made in the building of those pads and that slope. My husband who's a contractor and superintendent can literally see why it slid. And you can see the slide starting to happen when you look at the first pictures taken of those homes. You can see 👀 the cracks in the backyard.

The required setback at descending slope is "H over 2 X 3" or height divided by 2 times 3, or half of the height of the slope times 3. That was clearly NOT provided here. And it also requires geological engineer to certify approval of soils ability to resist lateral displacement. I'm just sayin'
