How is it possible that the most exciting sport that ran the show when I was growing up turned into this. Commentators sleeping on the job. You can have a OK event turn into an exciting tale about event just based off of the commentators energy. Riders don't want it anymore taka the OG is here for viewers. Man I've watched the x games every year since I was old enough to know what motocross was, there's been ups and downs but this event destroyed everything I loved about the sport. Covid or not this was trash.

Pastrana, Twitch, Deegan And the godfather of freestyle Mike Metzger. The true spirit of freestyle cant die. The grungy punk aesthetic of the 90s needs to come back!!!!

Would have loved to see Taka get a metal. Him and Sheeny were the only two that felt good riding the course for two runs.

I miss the Travis Pastrana days when freestyle was actually fast paced during the run. The riders would ride through each jump fast without losing that much speed. Gosh, this event as slowed down A LOT. This used to be my favorite event and now it's the most boring.

Def did not feel like Xgames. Course was not set up for a competition. Bad flow, there were more crashes than clean Runs. No Fans however there are many Fans @ other sports 🤷🏻‍♂️

LOVED IT - I miss the "old days" of these big open air courses with lots of options, makes each run UNIQUE, guys aren't all just riding the same line as each other just with different tricks.

Here's to a return to the big boy courses for a couple 'Games, but please give these guys more practice/warm up and a 3rd run!!! I LOVE the tech riding these big multi-option courses demand, but the guys are going to need more practice time to get it down than at the smaller arena courses.

Still can't believe double backflips are just a casual thing now in freestyle . Used to be a best trick contest winner . And Lucs run was just a series best trick winners back to back. Insane levels of progression.

what a farce...such a great big course with so many options...but no intensity, no energy...bring back the days of pastrana and metzger when the guys just held it pegged hitting every jump possible. Creativity, flow and intensity should have been rewarded...Rob, Taka and Sheeny were by FAR the most enjoyable to watch here. It really should have been Rob 1, Sheeny 2 and Taka 3....everyone else just looked lost out there.

Seems like Moto X needs an extra day of practice, and a 3rd run!

My heart broke for ben on that first trick. full commitment and so close but didn't get a good rotation. Also need to say, its absolutely bonkers that a rock solid backflip is just another trick in a run now

Freestyle is the most evolved sport ever!!!! It is so crazy what all of these riders are capable of now!! I remember when Ronnie Renner was able to win competitions with a whip lol!
