Tree Sentinel Cheese - Use This 1 Trick To Beat This Boss Easily | Elden Ring

This is a demonstration of a cheese strategy I made for the Tree Sentinel. I have not tested it with other classes, but any ranged attack will do the trick. The Tree Sentinel is a powerful boss, especially when you just start the game. By following the steps listed in the video, you can beat the boss without ever leveling up.

I initially tried to get the boss stuck on a rock... but IT VANISHES AND REAPPEARS AT ITS SPAWNING LOCATION (let me know if you want to see this).
So, I tried to get it stuck somewhere else. The church entrance hall stops the Tree Sentinel from ever reaching you if it is positioned correctly. Be careful though, because it can attack through the walls sometimes. Maintaining your distance is crucial in this fight.

When i first met the tree Sentinel i tried getting away from him using the church. Scared the shit out of me when pieces of the wall started going down. Scared me more when i realized that the church i was in only had two functioning walls

If you didn’t know you can jump when he jumps and dodge the AOE attack

For any ranged characters, the wall to the left can be broken by the sentinal.

Once it is, climb on top and you can keep shooting it without it being able to hit you. Might need to jump to avoid some high attacks though.

I did this yesterday but after a while he starts to glitch through the wall and still kills you from the other side. I'm just gonna find that glintstone pepple n hit him with that.

Another cheese I found is if you get torrent and just ride into his right side and just stay there swinging he bugs out and just spins. You can quite literally ride him out and kill him easily. Thr positioning can be a little particular though. You want to put torrents head essentially into the back hip of the Sentinels horse.

Well I just discovered another cheese to this guy. Thanks for this. The OTHER cheese method is avoid all this guys attacks. When he does the charge(running) attack, roll to your bottom right screen to dodge. Sentinels horse will catch you and move you along with them. Hit Sentinels 2 times. Avoid. Repeat till dead.

Try Raduvia dagger +2 (because it inflicts bloodloss on enemy), crimson tears + 1 and use the horse(stead) when charging at him, jump twice to avoid sentinels swings and melee as much as possible with Raduvia and most importantly be patient.

The way i dealed with him at starter level is that i only stayed far away and only attacked when he did his charged attack (roll on the right side to get near him without delay between your roll and your attack) i didnt even had to deal with his phase 2 attacks because i was always far away which means i only had to deal with 3 attack animations that he uses to close the gap.

Wish there was something that indicated he is suppose to be a horseback boss, I was puzzled for so long when I dropped his health down slightly more than halfway every time and he just starts doing AOE attacks that are unavoidable on foot and essentially one tap you.

Actually I accidentally killed him alone in a similar manner .. I kept summoning cooperators just so we would all die .. so I just kept going at it alone to study it’s move set. At some point, there is an elevated platform near his path, I climbed it with torrent and arrowed him a couple times .. he got mad and respawned in his actual spot, literally standing there looking at me for a good few seconds where I took the L2 shot at him .. then same thing he kept raging a bit the respawned. Took about 20 something arrows, felt so bad about it but at least I got my revenge lol.

As soon as I got the horse I just charged at him and get like 1-2 slashes then run away then repeated it till I beat him. It was super easy I beat him with a stock character and weapons that way

Protip: he's allergic to hugging his left side.

I just stayed on my horse and kept hitting him 1 time and runnin like a bitch 🤣🤣😂😂🤣took me 15 mins but worked 😂😂😭

I would never use this trick, knowing he wont respawn again after you kill him. Sure it would be easier than dying 70 times, but that's what makes this game so fun
