The Problem with Alex Garland scripts is they have brilliant premises, interesting characters, and great first 2 acts but then somewhere down the line, whether pressured by film executives or self reasoning the third act of his movies usually end up hollywood styled action thrillers with silly antagonist tropes like 'the Deranged Captain of the abandoned ship that kills his crew' or the 'Militia Rapist/Thugs in a Zombie Apocalypse' that detracts from the original first 2 acts of the movie.

Judging from this trailer, it is starting to feel like this format will not change.

Ok guys this is going to sound pretty stupid but here I go. The trailer looks awsome and the movie but it feels like I already know how the whole thing is going to end up. This dude gets to this place meet up with a crazy guy who has made this AI and all BUT this is where the trailer spoils the ending or the story cuz when he was watching himself at the mirror it looked like he was thinking he had something thus ME thinking aww shit he is aslo an AI made by this evil dude and is trying him out with this other girl and bla bla... Yes it sound stupid and I'm still looking forward to this movie but they sure done fucked it up if I'm right now cuz I won't be watching no more fuckin trailers.
