The DOM is a data structure that represents the page you see in your browser and gives you an API to interact with it (styling, queries, responding to events)

I'm in my advanced software dev classes. I can code c#, Python, Java, HTML, css, and js but have been trying to figure out what the heck the Dom specifically means.

Based on deductive reasoning I figured it was the whole webpage application in general, but nothing I watched or read solidified that interpretation. Thank you very much. Short, simple, and intuitive explanations for important/basic concepts of web development or programming in general. Would love one about HTTP.

Big fan of these tutorials because they don’t get bogged down into the weeds of the details, which makes everything a lot more complicated especially when you’re first learning it.
