I remember seeing this movie for the first time ever and being captivated from the initial overhead opening shot, where the characters, whilst still moving, almost appear motionless, like actors on a stage, before curtain up. The way the movement of the actors is enhanced with the proximity between the reporter and the Boss, and how their movement is almost "allowed" by Capone starting to talk, I always thought, was a stroke of absolute genius on De Palma's part. That, the train station scene, and Nitty falling past the camera make this one of the greatest ever commited to film, in my opinion.
