If you’re a Porsche fan, when you see a GTS badge, you know that Porsche has worked their magic by taking a group of already available options and turned them into something bigger and better than the sum of those parts. Well now, they’ve waved that engineering wand over the all-electric Taycan. So, let’s see what they’ve pulled out of the hat this time.

MotorWeek, as usual, doing their fair, unbiased road tests pointing out pros and cons, good and bad of every vehicle they test. There are incredibly consistent. Great job as always.

I’m starting to see more of these out in the wild. There’s a white one that I see almost daily on I70 on my commute. I love these things, it’s just so… Porsche if that makes sense; it excels at many things simultaneous while being a bona fide sports sedan AND an EV that Porsche encourages owners to track!

I've been using this thing a lot in GT7 VR. That game is amazing.

I used to watch Motorweek on PBS for years and wondered what had happened to the show, glad to see that it continued & I can find it on YouTube & John is always doing a phenomenal job at bringing us the inside scoop on everything automotive related. I have to wonder as I watch this review just how good the car handles as I'm not sure if it's the driver not able to handle the turns or is it the car as I see it veering off the road slightly and almost into the dirt.

That comment @ 4:41 about “build quality Tesla can only dream about” was savage but true. The Tesla fanboys will soon get this video demonetized 😂😂

11.6 in the 1/4 is so fast, 25 years ago that would probably be the fastest production car in the world, it would be up there. It still super fast today, it's just that everything is pretty fast today.

The Taycan is literally the only EV that (almost) nobody hates.

These are as common in Malibu as McDonald’s in Montana.

Just a magnificent machine. I wish I could afford one because with that AWD this would be all the car I’d need 😊

Forget Tesla. The Taycan is so far beyond Tesla in everything offered in an EV.

2:49 - ref: Porsche's 2 speed DCT gearbox. it's truly the Taycan's "killer app" over other EV's (ie, Tesla Model S) so that PUNCH John speaks of during an up-shift is way more pronounced (and more entertaining) than you might think (and most reviewers report). just to clarify, you never feel it at slow speeds or driving around town, it's only there under hard acceleration like when you willfully brake torque to engage "Launch Mode", so before you launch you definitely want to do a double check to make sure you're pointed in the right direction.😆

Beautiful, desirable, and fast from any angle.

Is there a rule somwhere that the interior of electic cars has to consist entirely of cheap touch screens?

The one thing that will keep me from buying one... RANGE. Get the REAL range up to 400 miles.

Crazy performance on a ev car that will never get used this way... wish the base RWD version was more affordable. Will have to wait until they used I suppose.

No body roll even in hard turns. It's somewhat expected, but still noteworthy. BTW, the Hummer ev is faster than this. 🙃

I'm not sure how I feel about a 4 door porsche. It performs well, and looks good. But idk, it doesn't quite excite me like a 911 would.
