It’s not just children it’s senior old people my neighbor is 89 lives alone. And she depends on me for food. Because her money goes on paying her bills every month. And her medicine. And she has 3 kids that call once a year.

#10=Oklahoma, Red State, #9=texass, Red State, #8=Kentucky, Red State, #7=Alabama, Red State, #6=Arkansas, Red State, #5=New Mexico, Red State, #4=Washington, DC, Blue District controlled by a dysfunctional Congress, #3=West Virginia, Red State, #2=Louisiana, Red State, #1=Mississippi, Red State.
It's almost like there's a pattern of governmental incompetence there.

I grew up, poor, in New Mexico. Before food stamps, there was "commodities." The way commodities works is, you walk in the door and they give you a box. At station one, you get a pound of rice. At station two, a pound of beans, and so on. 1st thru 3rd grade, we got a free lunch, from that point on, we had to brown bag it.

Yet, people are against free school lunches. Baffles me.

Answer to the Question of the Day: I had to think of this because I've lived in a state that had consistent weather, and I live in a state that we've had all 4 seasons in one day. So after some contemplating...I think I would want to live in a state with all four seasons. Just not on the same day. I want to have snow on Christmas, I want to see the leaves change colors in September, I want to enjoy the blooming flowers (and fight allergies) in May, and I want to enjoy a nice summer breeze on my birthday at the end of June.

It’s so sad that many people who think that government should control reproductive rights believe it’s okay for children to live in poverty.

I was born and raised in the Middlesex, Minuteman area of Massachusetts, while my husband was raised in Alabama along the Chatahoochee River. When he took me to meet his family for the first time, I was blown away by the poverty. I never saw anything like it on such a large scale. It was a total culture shock.
There were some things I really liked about the area but the poverty really shook me.

It's shameful...we can send billions of dollars to fund wars and things in other countries, but have hungry children and homeless here in our country

I like four seasons without a cold winter. My medical issues make it very difficult for me to live where the temperature drops (or, especially, stays) below 20 degrees.

The governor of Mississippi would not sign a bill to feed the children just sad

I definitely prefer to live in a state that experiences four distinct seasons, but am primarily interested in fall and winter! 🍂❄️ I’m that weird person who feels sluggish and depressed by the sun, and motivated and happy when it rains or snows!

Hey Briggs, Great video here. It is depressing as hell that the US has all this money but refuses to help its needy citizens.
To answer your question: YES, I want to live in an area that has seasons. I have lived in Florida for over 30 years. I am originally from upstate NY. Every fall, I get withdrawal symptoms because it will be another year that I won't see snow.

Prefer consistent seasons.
Living in chicago area for 40 yrs, i am done with humid hot summer of 4 months and 4 months of brutal winter.

Rather move to mild weather regions like pacific northwest.

Let’s consider policy/governance profiles:
• Oklahoma – Red state
• Texas – Red state
• Kentucky – Red state
• Alabama – Red state
• Arkansas – Red state
• New Mexico – Purple state
• DC – Blue area (not a state and no right to vote in national elections)
• West Virginia – Red state
• Louisiana – Red state
• Mississippi – Red state

Is there a pattern here? 🤔

I'm born and raised in Texas. 72 years ago when our dad died, my little brother and I got Social Security. Many resented that fact. Step-dad loved it. He had PTSD from Army life over-seas during WW2. The Army lost his records. He lost his 'pension' and medication. We lost our house and cars. He couldn't hold a job for long and when he got money he stayed drunk. He and Mom had a few more kids. There was no food line, food stamps, or medical assistance. If anyone got sick, they better get well soon. Except for his kids, they got help from our SS payment. We bought a house and paid bills with it. We gardened, hunted, fished, picked wild berries out in pastures. And always put up with his PTSD, shooting and killing animals like rabbits, chickens, cats, dogs. His constant anger, rages, maniac depression. Fighting with people, including mom and me. I couldn't leave the house. I had to stay home and mom had to go with him. We older kids did without a lot of much needed items clothing wise. The family didn't have many towels or wash clothes, we shared a lot. My step brother was bigger than me and my little brother so we got to wear more than a few hand me downs. ETC, Etc, Etc. I'm sure you have the picture by now. So I will stop the rant, but I have been poor most of my life and all the other kids are gone.😂😢😂😢

I could write books, not a book about all of these issues and concerns. To keep it short and concise, it all starts at home. This is above your gender, sexual orientation, what religion you want to believe in, and all of that. The thing is, if you are not stable, don't have children, let's start there. Not to challenge anything that was said in this video, but as a business owner, I continuously struggle to keep employees, even though they are fairly easy, good paying jobs! Every argument shouldn't lead to a divorce. We have more places advertising how I can help you get a divorce rather than hey, how I can help you stay together.Think about it...!

After 59 years of Minnesota four seasons I couldn't hack winter anymore. So we sold everything and moved to Playa del Carmen Mexico. It's been 13 years and do I miss the one month spring before mosquito season takes over? Yes. Do I miss the one or two month fall season before the snow falls? Yes. Don't miss it enough to move back I'll take the heat any day.
