Sample Test - 12 high end speaker cables

This sample video is part of a huge test of speaker cables. We made extensive measurements on all the cables, sampled them, and did a blind test (live).

Excellent and revealing review. If you were to hide the name of the cables, the vast majority of people would think they had heard the same loudspeaker cable. Any subtle differences are almost certainly due to the phenomenon of the psychoacoustic listening experience, which would not be reproducible in a blind test. The law of "diminishing on return" strikes early and particularly hard when buying overpriced loudspeaker cables, whereby the price of the cables is most certainly an indicator of the owner's ego rather than the objective quality of the cable!

A very short, but excellent comparison. I'd suggest anyone participating in the "cable debate" to view this video. There is a difference, but it's very miniscule in nature. These should be the last item on your list, you sort of round out and fine tune last 1-5% of your system with cables. Thanks again!

Thanks for taking the time to do this. Not sure if a heard a difference between a couple or not. I can’t justify paying the kind of money they want for these cables if I’m not sure I herd difference. Others are welcome to spend their money as they like. As for me, I’ll keep my money and buy better speakers and gear where I can obviously hear the difference.

I did this test plus the other one (with Yung) blind and the changes between cables we so slight and subtle. I found it impossible to make out the differences between brands through YouTube.

I found the stock cable to be just fine but again that’s going through YouTube.

Bravo for the effort. The differences between stock and other cables were obvious but the differences between brand name cables were subtle. Perhaps voices were most affected. Thank you!

Not sure if I’m suppose to be able to hear a difference. Maybe I can conclude that it’s best to save some money and get a basic decent quality cable then buy yourself a nice bottle of whiskey and a pair of comfy slippers.

Crazy, had my beats in & i could really hear a difference between a lot of them. Not really positive it was the cables but there was audible changes for sure.

I do hear subtle differences, but I think I could live with any of these cables.
Actually the Supra Sword sounds amazing!

SUPRA, Shunyata and Audioquest both models make a difference and the rest are same colored cables. What I can hear from this test for my taste Supra is the best and Shunyata is literally behind a corner. Boath of them opening vocals and imaging, and overall stage is more natural. Great comparison. Recently I have bought Supra play 3.4 for my father 30 years old system what is warm sounding and with UK brand Rogers who are missing a midd range and vocal sharpness, and with cables installed after 30 minutes, they felt the difference. I was also surprised how all system sounded better and more enjoyable.😀
