The first one prohibits idolatry. Believing Jesus is the Messiah is considered idolatry. The rabbinic tradition also decrees the death penalty for violations of the Noahide Laws.

Obviously people weren't doing this and obviously this is an example of an insular culture.... an insular culture that was keeping records telling stories and remembering what happened for thousands of years.... this isn't just coming out of nowhere that these people decided to kind of stick to themselves.... when my people are being constantly attacked and misunderstood by people who are still basically sniffing their own farts it might make sense to just kind of "stick to your own".... we are in the Modern Age and this man is sharing what was related to him in a courageous and wonderful way...
