The problem with this is that there have been archaeological surveys in the eye of the Sahara and there have been artifacts uncovered but they're all neolithic. Stone tools and the like. There is so far no evidence of a splendorous ancient city.

On top of that, Plato describes Atlantis as being much much larger than the eye of the sahara

Atlantis was a thought experiment based on the Minoans of Crete. Plato and his contemporaries were aware of their civilization (which had already died out by then). At least that is what multiple history professors told me. The Minoan ruins show evidence that they had the ability to construct four-story buildings that were boxy, they had gravity-powere flush toilets, indoor plumbing, sewers, and all kids of stuff. It was really cool. When I was in college they didn't know what wiped them out, but the big guess was plague.

I love how he reads of the "description" of Atlantis but didn't bother to mention that whole thing about Plato got the story of Atlantis form a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who's definitely seen it, where the whole aesthetic of Atlantis were incredibly similar to Sparta eventho Plato claimed the story was from Egypt, and disregarding the fact that Plato was a huge "admirer" of Spartan culture, and he definitely most likely didn't make all of this up, because apparently old people unbiased super objective being that also can't lie.

I love just how iconic this games sound track is. So many videos use it. The man was truly a legendary sound engineer. All 3 games were some of the best music ever for a game.
