Pick the rubric from the Patient’s language - Series 1
(Patient’s versions, incidences from his past life, their analysis and corresponding rubrics)
Hello everyone…
WELCOME to Students’ Homeopathy
And let’s learn together…
Today, we are going to start a new series of learning in the Mind Rubrics section, and this series is going to be very interesting, very different and more importantly very useful for us in clinical practice.
The name of the series is “Pick the rubric from Patient’s language”. In this series, we will discuss the original versions of the patient, the incidences from his past life, their analysis and the corresponding rubrics.
So along with patients' language, narration, his versions and what we observe in our daily practice, we will discuss the important incidences or situations from their life history and their reaction to it or how they behaved at that time or situation. Then, we will learn how to analyse and convert them into appropriate rubrics.
Moreover, all the narrations or patient versions mentioned here are not imaginary but these are real languages of the patient who visited our OPD or Clinic.
So let’s start

Patient’s version-1:
When patient tells
‘I can manage if I have no food, but cannot live without cleanliness.’
(Khana na mile to chalega, magar safai ke bina nanhi rah sakta.)
Guess what can be the corresponding rubric
Yes
The CORRESPONDING RUBRIC is Fastidious
Patient’s version-2
Some other patients may tell
‘If someone else washes my clothes, I have to wash them again. I do not like the cleaning of anyone else other than me.’
(Koi dusra agar mere kapde saaf kar dein, to mein use phir se saaf karna padta hai. Mujhe kisi aur ki safai pasand nanhi aata.)
CORRESPONDING RUBRICFastidious
Coming to
Patient’s version-3:
After a misfortune or unpleasant incident in his life, the patient says like this- “After that incident, I felt as if I became lonely; as if I have no one of my own.”
(Us ghatna ke vaad, mujhe yah mahsus hone laga ki mein akela pad gaya hun. Jaise ki mera koi apna nanhi hai.)
CORRESPONDING RUBRICForsaken feeling
Remember, if someone is really forsaken by his friends and relatives for any reason, this rubric cannot be taken. This is only a feeling, not a reality.
Coming next
Patient’s version-4:
A daughter-in-law- I never retaliate against my seniors. Even if I faced unjust behaviour and partialities towards me and my children from my in-laws’ side, I never spoke against them. It makes me angry but I keep it within myself.
However, it makes me more harsh and rough towards my children; on trifle faults, I rebuke and even strike them.
Analysis: This lady is not strong enough to answer back to the people whom she feels superior or more powerful than her. However, she is also not that mild or tolerant to take any unfair behaviour easily.
In the process, she was burning inside and venting her anger on her children who are inferior or less powerful than her. (Remember, these types of people also throw out their anger upon their mothers, grandparents, younger brother or sister, or someone else from whom they get soft or pleasant behaviour. In some cases, when fathers are soft & affectionate while mothers are strict, they show their anger toward their fathers and silently obey their mothers.)
CORRESPONDING RUBRIC
Hard for inferiors and kind for superiors
Or
Contemptuous; Hard for subordinates and agreeable or pleasant to superiors or people he has to fear
That’s all for this video
